'Music to Hear'

During 1996, under the direction of Brian Kay, the choir recorded a varied programme of part songs, which were released on CD as part of the choir's 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The CD is a superb collection of English choral music including songs by Vaughan -Williams, Pearsall, Sullivan and featuring both jazz pianist George Shearing's settings of five Shakespeare songs: Music to Hear (from which the CD takes its title) and the world premier recording of John Rutter's Birthday Madrigals.

Available from record shops or, in case of difficulty, from the choir's distributor: Somm Recordings
